DEAN YALANIS
Actor Dean Yalanis playing “Dave Emerson” in the new TV Sitcom “The Big Shot”
While earning his BS in Marketing from Central Connecticut State University, Dean interned at Clear Channel, gaining experience with marketing and promotions.
Dean has also worked as a promotional representative with artists such as: Staind, Missy Elliott, Tweet, Maroon 5, Dream Theatre, Jason Mraz, Gavin Degraw and many more platinum acts. Dean currently has a label through (The Orchard) Sony’s sister company with his best friend Dave.
Dean currently maintains an active performance career in music and Acting. He has played numerous venues including, Litchfield Jazz Festival, Jazz and Roses, Hartford Jazz Festival, New Haven Jazz Festival, and The Webster Theatre in Connecticut, as well as, Symphony Space, Peter J. Sharp Theater, The Center, and the Iridium in NYC, to name a few. He has played on numerous sessions that have charted. Dean’s playing has brought him to Asia, London, Italy and Greece.
He has appeared in several films, His first film “Diamond Ruff” appearing as the villain “Mr. Forelli” with rapper Fredro Starr (Onyx), Felicia “Snoop” Pearson (The Wire on HBO), and comedian Michael Collier (Comedy Central) (Freddie Jackson). Dean will be seen in a film called Blood Mixed, where he plays “John Crowe”.
Dean is to play “Dave Emerson” on the new TV pilot “The Big Shot.”
